Objectives:

Objectives: his webinar will provide an overview of recent and future efforts by CDC and partners to develop healthy weight standards and surveillance capabilities for public health agencies and clinical populations. Also, CDC partner in the Healthy Weight EHR project, the Public Health Informatics Institute, will review plans for a landscape analysis designed to characterize organizational readiness for healthy weight surveillance. Participants are encouraged to come with questions, comments and input to provide insights on how federal, state, and local public health epidemiologists can best use informatics to bridge primary care and public health as well as provide feedback on plans for landscape analysis and other next steps.

Learning Objectives: After the webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Identify health information technology interoperability standards supporting body mass index data exchange between clinical and public health partners.
2. Understand facilitators for and barriers to healthy weight surveillance from the public health practice community.
